I think I heard somewhere you can use the 360 controller to play, if thats the case why the hell doesn't it work when I plug in the usb arghhh. I usually play shooters on the consoles so the mouse is taking some getting used to. (lol srry Chainer) Any ideas why it didn't work? or maybe the dude was just lying and you can't use the controller to play APB

Re: Xbox Controller
I remember one of the podcasts stating it is possible to use the XBawks controller through your PC to play APB. How to set it up, I have no clue (PS3 dude here ). And no worries about the friendly fire, we all go through it

Re: Xbox Controller
I play Crysis with an Xbox controller, and I'll probably play APB with one too if it works. I use a wireless adapter (was like $15) instead of a wired USB controller though. You have to download some software to get it to work, found here.

Re: Xbox Controller
You play FPS with a controller? For shame! I, personally, can't play FPS on a console and when I do I tend to look play like a simpleton.

Re: Xbox Controller
I owned MGO with the controller. I was pretty bad-ass with not only the sniper rifle, but with a a knife and CQC as well. Oh how I miss that game =/

Sure, but MGO was designed for it. I could not imagine rocking out MW2 or BF:BC2 with a controller. I mean, how could I snap off a 15 kill streak sniping if I have to be precise with a controller? And no, I ain't that good consistently... only once finished a MW2 round with a 5:1 ratio (finished 26 / 4) and that was dumb luck. I think the best streak I hit during KttC was 7.

Re: Xbox Controller
I have CoD:MW2 for the xbox and I think my best ks was somewhere around 26...
Those games really flow much more smoothly with a controller, I think.

Re: Xbox Controller
I dunno, Lupus. I will always stick to those games on PC because I find that the mouse can have a more refined accuracy than the controller. They have come a long way since the intellivision I started on, but I am still going to be a PC first for FPS kind of person.

Re: Xbox Controller
Fair enough,sir. Fair enough.
I too have played many many pc fps games (the entire bf series minus bad company and several moh's) and I did well using keyboard n mouse, but I've found that the controller is often more responsive to light touches than keyboards. I guess it just comes down to personal preference nowadays

Re: Xbox Controller
The only shooters I was decent at on a console was Halo and Halo 2.
For everything else I'm a PC man, I used to be an Unreal Tournament addict for the longest time. Now I'm really into BF:BC2, I'm just so much better with ye olde keyboard and mouse.

Do you use the same name on BF:BC 2? Might have to toss you a friend invite.

Re: Xbox Controller
For BF:BC2 my soldier name is Dr.Jekyll. (There is a period at the end.)
I've only recently been able to start playing due to the Lockups the game was causing for a lot of PC players.
But toss me an invite, I'd be nice to have something to do while we wait for the 26th, we can use my ventrilo aswell.
I mainly play Rush, with a little conquest thrown in, I'm excited for when they bring the Onslaught mode to the PC, but that will take sometime as the reason we won't be getting it as soon as the consoles is due to the way the servers are set up for us PC players.
I've also been playing a metric shit-ton of GTA 4, working on my driving.

That is a good idea right there, I will have to re-download that one. I did send out the BF invite (look for it from Kalanth). All these games are just good practice overall and that makes perfect.
