    A light? Empty A light?

For those of you who haven't been following me as fervently as myself:

    http://apb-eu.dnsalias.org/PatchNotes/

This is the unofficial Post-APB blog which is written by, I believe, one of the few remaining members of the team. If you refer to the top post, you will see these words...

It's looking like there might be light at the end of the tunnel for APB. The end of the administration process is apparently close and there appears to be a buyer for the game.

I don't know about you guys, but this makes me very happy.

An entirely intuitive discovery. Thank you for sharing, Molly.

It would seem APB has been bought by K2 Networks, a little article here about it.

I just read that! I'm excited, but sort of scared...

I don't want it to turn into a microtransaction F2P shooter. There were enough weapons that gave people the 1-Up on everyone.

It would hopefully be something of a reassurance that K2 have, at the very least expressed interest toward further development and refinement of the 'All Points Bulletin' game itself, in addition to a re-release for potential players.

From their background of working with online games, so far; they would, for the most part comprise of a subscription which is free to play, yet with the availability of complimentary purchases for those who would be willing to make them. In contrast to those available purchases and upgrades being a necessity of game-play, however, they are almost inclusively in the style of 'optional' content - ranging from the convenient to aesthetic in nature.

Additionally, having heard from some of those still active within the '9Dragons' realms that the company continues to facilitate its smooth operation, following from their similar acquisition from Acclaim may provide an accompanying foundation to the reassurance of the original coding not having been left entirely to the side.

This is really fantastic news. I'm excited to see what they'll do with it.

Think there is any chance we'll get our old characters back?

To consider that there has been the availability to re-claim characters active within the original versions of the game, throughout K2's previous acquisitions should hopefully mean that the same may be the case in this instance. Namely, with the provision of character (and account) details, in addition to records of having been active (for example, screen captures and dates of play).

Alternatively, depending on the extent of the revisions to the in-game mechanics and availability and use of each of the armaments and items undertaken; with re-release of the game may arrive the perfect chance for re-iteration of character - at the very least, in terms of specialisation, if not in an aesthetic sense.

Been keeping an eye on this for awhile now. Don't blame Molly for being too excited. Hopefully, and maybe, they might add some new stuff to the game? But some brought up a logical post. What about our old characters? Do we still get them or have a fresh clean slab? I for one am hoping for the fresh clean slab because it seemed like I was doing one man jobs in the docks part of the game because others in the rain dogs are past the person/boss I am working on. But if we do keep our old characters, then I am hoping they have the RWPoints I invested so much in.
